For walkers there are many opportunities to explore the countryside and enjoy the wonderful scenery and wildlife. One of General Wade's roads passes directly behind the inn and you can follow it into the Sma' Glen and beyond. Maps are available to help you plan your route and enjoy the countryside.

In Crieff there is the Strathearn Community Campus (with Swimming Pool and gym) with an extensive programme of activities.

By following the Perthshire Scotch Whisky Trail you can visit both the smallest and the oldest distilleries in Scoland.  There you will learn how single malt is made in the traditional way and perhaps manage "a wee dram!"

At the Visitor Centre in Crieff, you can visit the Drovers’ Exhibition and see paper-weights being made at the new Caithness Glass factory. You can even try your hand at painting your own item of glass.

You can visit the famous Drummond Castle Gardens as seen in the film Rob Roy. Just next door is the Ceramic Experience where you can paint your own pottery - a great idea for the whole family for the odd wet day.

Auchingarrich Wildlife Park with its collection of birds and animals is a great day out for all the family - a really hands-on experience. There is also a newly-opened community fishery near the park - a chance to try a new hobby!                                                                                                                                        For a bit of adventure maybe you could have a go at quad biking through the Perthshire Hills! Scottish Quads are based locally and have different courses for different ages and skill levels - remember to wear old clothes!!                                                                                                                                          In between all this adventure you will perhaps take some time out to visit the Crieff and Strathearn Country Market where you will see the highest quality of local crafts and produce, cooking demonstrations and yummy tasters.
